Christina Sodano Aitchison

I grew up in a small beach town in New Jersey with beautiful landscapes, which inspired my drawing at a young age. My parents saw my enthusiasm to paint so they enrolled me in private art lessons at the young age of 8. I continued my love for art through my high school years.

As an undergraduate at Moore College of Art in Philadelphia, I majored in illustration and concentrated in advertising. Illustration filled my love for art, while advertising filled my ability to have a successful career. My dream was to be pro- ductive and financially successful as an artist. After college I worked as a professional advertiser in two different agencies. I loved the creativity of logo designs, packaging, magazine ads, and much more that comes with advertising. I embraced the creativity but still desired to be a painter. As the years passed I worked on building my portfolio as an artist.

In 1988 I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona and I eventually started my own art business. I enjoy the freedom and crea- tivity of being a full-time artists. I now live in California with my family, and find inspiration everywhere I look.

Artist Statement

“No matter what the technique will be, drawing, painting, mixed medium, murals, faux finishes, art will always be in my heart. The love will transfer to the canvas where I can share my creativity with everyone.”
