Dineen Linza was born in Niagara Falls, NY on May 29, 1969. She was raised in Mesa, Arizona. Her love for art was nurtured and developed in the Fine Art programs of Mesa Community College and the Colorado Institute of Art.
She began painting in oil and pastel and expanded her styles and techniques working in acrylic. Inspired by the dramatic light and shadow s found in the work of Caravaggio, Dineen also references the work of Magritte, Dali, Cezanne, Gauguin and Thiebauld.
Her love of the exaggeration of natural light and shadow is evidenced in many of her paintings. Prolific and multi talented, she also loves to experiment with new processes and diverse styles. "I love the way ala Prima paint strokes describe form," she states.
“I have been painting and drawing since 1976, when we moved to Arizona. I received a couple of school awards and was involved in a student art show at the Colorado Institute of Art. I studied Design there after I attended Mesa Community College, under the tutelage of Darlene Swaim, Jim Garrison, and Dana Mason.”
